Variety is the spice of life (a post about IPAs and strength training) Jk, it's a story about how solid a PBR is 🤌 (objectively the second best beer choice you could make, and third being Miller high life 😂) Alright, alright, let's get to the real point 👇 Variety in your strength training. I think if you're not a competitive bodybuilder, powerlifter, or weightlifter, then dabbling in a little of each form of training is not the worst idea. "Why?" A common reason I hear people don't continue with strength training is due to boredom (on top of many other reasons). So, let's address that issue and remove that barrier because I think what matters most is that people find some way to consistently strength train. Are you tired of using machines? Cool, try out dumbbells, barbells, and / or calisthenics. Are you tired of doing high rep/ lightweight regimens? Try lower rep/heavier weights. Losing interest in training only the squat, deadlift, and bench and their variations? Cool, add in weightlifting moves like snatches or add in some machine work like the leg press. Yes, some forms allow for faster progress for certain goals, but if there's no rush, then there's no reason you can't dabble in a variety of forms. Who knows, maybe you'll find one particular form that peaks your fancy more than the rest🤷‍♂️ Maybe you'll find yourself on a new strength training journey 💪🏋‍♂️ Interested in getting help with your strength training?
